Bob was born in Kalamazoo, MI: he was the fourth boy in a family of ten. His father was a cowboy and musician, but was best known for his enormous size. During childhood his family moved to several different areas where they attended many churches. Growing up, he played baseball, football and ice hockey with his six brothers. He gave his life to Christ at the age of 16, and spent many years searching for the right place to serve his LORD. His mother was a prayer warrior and the rock of his family. Events that molded his life as a young boy were: his father was sent to prison when he was 10, and during a drunken rage, his father hit his mother, and broke his baby brother's leg. Most tragic was the death of his four-year-old sister. Deborah, who died of leukemia. Bob married his high-school sweetheart, RuthAnn. They have three adult children and ten grandchildren, three of which are adopted. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2018. Bob was registered in various areas of medical imaging and worked 40 years in X-Ray, CT and Abdominal/Vascular/Cardiac ultrasound. His vocation confirmed his belief that we are wonderfully made and created by our LORD. Bob and RuthAnn are now retired an enjoy spending time with their children and grand children. His favorite Bible verse is Joshua 24:15 ..."Choose for yourselves whom you will serve ... as for me and my house we will serve the LORD."
