Our Vision for Discipleship

From creation to new creation, the story of Scripture is the story of God forming a people who bear His image, walk in His ways, and participate in His mission. God does not merely save individuals. He shapes us over time, through the everyday things of life.

This is discipleship.

God’s work of forming us in Christ through His Word, prayer, and life together in the church.

Our Beliefs

We are Committed to the Gospel

The gospel is the good news that God sent Jesus to take sin's penalty as our substitute on the cross, and we can be saved through faith alone. It is the grand narrative of creation, fall, redemption, and consummation ordained by God and orchestrated through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. Christ’s crucifixion is the heart of the gospel. His resurrection is the power of the gospel.

  • God

The Bible states that God created everything including us. He has authority to tell us how to live. Sin is the rejection of God’s authority over us. God is loving, and He is righteous. Therefore, God cannot ignore sin and leave the guilty unpunished.

  • Man

Man rejects God and is guilty of sin. Since Adam, sin has corrupted every part of our human existence. Our entire being is under sin’s power. The penalty of sin is physical and spiritual death. Our final destiny is eternal, active judgement in hell.

  • Christ

Jesus is truly God and man. He came to die on the cross as a substitute for His people and to pay sin’s penalty. Jesus rose from the dead, assuring us that God’s wrath is satisfied. Sinners can be freed from sin’s power and reconciled with God.

  • Response

We must repent from sin and trust in Jesus alone to save us from sin and the coming judgement. When we believe in Jesus, all our sin is placed on Jesus, and the perfect life Jesus lived is credited to us. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone.
